然而背后令人心酸的是，林肯公园的歌救了别人，却没能救下自己，2017年7月，林肯乐队主唱查斯特·贝宁顿在洛杉矶附近一个小型沿海城市的派洛斯福德庄园自杀，而贝宁顿自杀的日子恰好是当年早些时候自杀的克里斯·康奈尔53岁生日。在贝宁顿逝世前一周，乐队原本准备在7月27日在马萨诸塞州曼斯菲尔德开始美国巡回演出。当时消息一出，令全球粉丝心痛不已。
